I think it is great how much our communications have come along and advanced over the last decade.  We get to experience so much more and seem to really be on a personal level with our celebrities, elected officials, and even our POTUS.  (for those of you that don't know that means President of the United States)  Now I know that the person behind the tweets is probably not really the celebrity you're following nor is it probably the POTUS, but it is nice to think you are really reading the tweets from their own daily lives and thoughts.
Not only is it great to read these things it is also great to see Obama throw some major shade on the horrific speech from Clint Eastwood at the Republican Convention through the the one and only Twittersphere.  Now for those of you who haven't been so unlucky as to have watched this speech here it is for your own displeasure.
The responses to Obama's twitter picture had slightly over 50,000 supportive re-tweets.  Other celebrities and newscasters also put out their own thoughts on the speech through Twitter as well.  Some people were in support of the actor and producer and some were just plain dumfounded.
This is just one instance in which people from all over can come together and discuss what is going on in the world.  I find this greatly important especially to get those younger and not so interested in politics to become more involved.  #VoteOrDie
